why dosent my computer recognize my dvd drive i just installed?
i Have a dell optiplex gx620 and when i start my computer in goes to a black screen and saya"Drive 2 not found: parallel ATA, PATA-0 (PRI IDE Master) Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility" what is the problem?
The computer just told you to run the set up utility. Press F2 like it told you to. Also check your plugs and make sure you put the right ones in place. If you still get the same message then check the wires and plugs for damage, loose wire, loose or broken pins or sockets in the connectors and solder points. I am telling you all this on the assumption you are installing it yourself. If not, then take it back to where it was done.
