familiar with this error in regards to a Dell OptiPlex GX240?

I am having some serious trouble with my Dell OptiPlex GX240 pc and I'm in need of some serious help. Here's the problem. I took out the stock video card, and the stock RAM sticks. (I think thats what they're called). I put in after market video card and RAM sticks in hopes of better graphics. Such was not the case. The only thing I got out of the deal was a series of beeps and a monitor light that stays orange, like if your pc goes on standby. So I put the original hardware back in, figuring I would just live with the graphics "as is". Unfortunately, putting things back didn't help. It still only beeps when I turn it on, and ditto for the monitor light. And one other thing too. I noticed on the back of the pc there is 4 lights. A, B, C, and D. Lights A and B are orange and the C and D ones are green.
If anyone has any ideas or solution please let me know. It would be greatly appreaciated
34 or CD Diagnostic LED's indicate in most Dell Systems that RAM is detected but not functioning properly. You MAY ALSO have PURCHASED incompatible RAM... be sure that the RAM you selected was compatible.
Your monitor will be BLANK if the system can not pass POST. Once POST is passed, the video card will be initialized to start and you will then see video. The only instance of an error on screen is...

I hope you knew what you were doing when you opened the chassis and started putting your hands in there... a simple ESD(ElectroStatic Discharge) will fry the system board.

Unplug the power cable and other cables like mouse, keyboard, and monitor... Then Press and Hold the power button in front for 5-10 seconds for full systemboard discharge.(EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE CASE FOR INVASIVE SYSTEM PROCEDURES[Reseating, installing, upgrading, removing])
Attempt to reseat the RAM by fully releasing.
--- Press down on the "DIMM" socket clips (Direct In-line Memory Module) that hold the memory in place and lift the memory out vertically.
Set it one side at a time into the socket and when both sides are lined up and gently in the socket (not tight) then press down on both sides of the DIMM to firmly seat it so that the DIMM clips close on it.
Once reseated, close the chassis and reconnect cabling.
Power Up and cross your fingers that it Posts/Boots.
Computer Chassis Power LED - COMMON
If you receive a Solid Amber Power light, this can indicate you have damaged the system board or Power supply unit may be bad.
If you receive a Solid Green light with any lit or flashing diagnostic lights, this indicates there's an issue with the configuration, seating, or failure in any hardware.
Monitor Power LED - COMMON
An amber light on your monitor indicates that your monitor is not receiving a signal and has gone into power saver mode.
Unplug the Video to test your monitor... it should show a "Self-Test" without any video cable plugged in. If it's a clear picture of the Self-Test window.. it's fine.

Good Luck with your upgrade. Keep in mind, you will not receive any assistance for third party items. You need to try and get the system to pass POST(power on self test - The diagnostic lights are an indication of failing post) and BOOT(into windows) with parts that were shipped on the original order from Dell... Worry about the Upgrade Second... no point in having the Upgrade if you damaged the system board.
