Is there a GB limit than I can move from a PC to a Flash/THumb drive memory stick to a MAC BOOk.?
Im trying to move 17 GB pictures, DOcs,music from an old DELL to a NEw MAC BOOK ( Not liking the MAC so far and it id 3 times the price of the Dell) I used a 64 GB memory stick (Flash /Thumb/pen drive >>>OK from Dell to stick. BUT when I try to move the info to the MAC I only get like 2 Gig and then it is wacky. Can t move it and then have to power Mac down to remove stick .The info 16 gb is on the stick but refuses to move to the MAC. Am i saking too much from this 2000.00 POS.
I'd like to blame it on the MAC. But, if it recognized the flash drive at all, that is probably not the problem. It is probably a file that is stopping the transfer. I have that happen PC to PC sometimes. It stops because of the file, doesn't tell you which one, sometimes, and you have to check in the successfully transferred files to see where it stopped. Would be nice if they tranferred everything else and told you that files X and Y couldn't be. But, NO. They just stop on you and let you find the problem.
