Connect Laptop To TV Through DVD player?
Hey guys. I have a Dell D600 running XP Pro. I want the screen to show on my tv, but through my DVD player. The TV does not have an S-Video port. I've plugged both 4-pin sides in... one in the laptop and one in the DVD player. Nothing shows up? Could someone tell me how to get this to work! I tried going to Control Panel > Settings > Advanced > Display... and clicking on TV.. but i can't click on TV for some reason... it says its not connected?.. HELP!

typicaly, DVD players do NOT nave input connections for any video signal. The S-Video in your DVD will most likely be output, no input.
Of course, you have to be sure that the connection in your laptop is output (to a TV) and not input (if you have built-in tuner).
You can buy some S-video-to-SCART adapter, then plug the wire from your S-Video laptop to the adapter, then the SCART directly to your TV-set (again, NOT to the DVD SCART, it will be only-output).
Just look for "Video SCART adapter" as IMAGES in google - you will know what I mean.
