Is it possible to install a Intel Core 2 Dual processor in my DELL XPS 400?

I need an expert with well experienced to answer this question. I bought this Desktop (DELL XPS 400) couple weeks ago..
It came with stocked motherboard-[Intel 945P chipset, but not so sure though] and processor-[Intel Pentium D] . Is it possible to install a Intel Core 2 Dual processor in my DELL XPS 400?

On the dell service website it says Intel® Pentium® 4 Socket-T with Hyper-Threading or Dual-Core support. It otherwords it can support the Pentium 4, Pentium 4 HT, and pentium D
That is about it, I see no evidence about upgrading the processor any further. And I should warn you that if you try to upgrade the motherboard, don't, the motherboard is a BTX form factor. Intel ended the BTX motherboard about a year and half ago and didn't put core 2 support on them.
