Hi, I have a Dimension 3000 Dell computer??
My question is... How do I know if a dvd player came built into it.... I went to my computer right clicked properties and then device manager...
In the list of everything... it say DVD/CD-ROM drives. then I double clicked on that... then it says,
- HL-DT-ST-CD-ROM GCR-8483B
and also
SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-2525
Anyways.... I dont understand all that. I tried going to trouble shooting and stuff. Nothing helps!
Well I put a DVD+R sony, into it lastnight and it said there is no disc please insert a new one.
Could it be because it uses a diff recordable DVD?
Chances are you probably have one built in.
The easiest way to check is to look on the outside of your tower. If there is empty slots, then you dont have one. But if it is there then it will say DVD/CD right on the front. Either way put in a cd or dvd and wait to see if anything happens!
If you dont have one, you can purchase one at a computer store for about $40.00 for the DVD/CD Combo Drive. They are very easy to install!
