How do I wipe and partition the hard drive on my Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop using XP?
I tried an XP reinstall but I get no internet and a lot seems missing ( stand by shaded out, no audio, etc.)
You only have a Problem with drivers. It is this simple just download display, audio drivers and any other driver you need from the dell website. here http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R95248&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=123419
You cant do that with an xp installation already in that harddisk. Just youse the XP Installation Disk to partition and format your drive
