Can't i upgrade my processor in dell inspiron 8000? I'm thinking i can Help anyone =)?
I need to know if i can upgrade my dell inspiron 8000 laptop's processor, I think i can i mean y wouldn't i b able to. It has a Intel Pentium 3 im pretty sure it's 800mhz in it right now. I wanna upgrade to a Intel Pentium 4 1.8ghz. Possible? i thinkso =) any help?
And u know what Any and All laptops and desktop computers u can upgrade. People Build pc's so why couldn't u upgrade a older laptop just cause it's older,It just matters if the person doing it know's what there doing. I went to a website on how to disessemble the processor. the same laptop i have, and it also game me these Links To processors. It said they come originally with Intel pentium 3, which will handle most of ur computing needs. Also said,u may want to upgrade your cpu for more computing power.

The maximum cpu you can fit in that model is a 850Mhz Pentium III or 700Mhz Celeron. The reason for this,is the motherboard can't go any faster as the technology at that time could only manage what was available.
Yes you can upgrade a laptop but only things like the RAM, modem/network card, HDD and PCMCIA cards (dependable on your computer specs).
