First time building a computer?
I am building my own computer for the first time and I am not sure if it will work out with my $250 budget. I am reusing a few parts from my old dell including the operating system
I already have:
1: 80gb hard drive with windows xp on it
2. cdrw drive
3. 400w power supply
I need to buy:
1:CPU (intel or AMD is fine, but no sempron or celeron)
2:motherboard (anything reliable, micro ATX is fine)
3: 2gb ram
4: case (decent quality)
5. video card that will run Starcraft 2 on medium or high
I am only building this to play Starcraft 2 on medium or high, as all my other computers have integrated graphics cards and they are laptops, so I can't replace them. I will replace the hard drive, os, cd drive, power supply, and add more ram when i get more money, but i will have to compromise. Please let me know if these parts will work well together and I will not face compatibility problems. Thanks in advance 
You're going to be running on the bare minimum but yes it should work, except for your OS.
The copy of Windows you get from Dell is released under what's called an OEM license, which basically means once it's installed on a certain computer it has to stay on that computer forever. When you put that drive in your new rig and Windows realizes you tried to transplant it, it's going to freak out and start giving validation warnings and block you off from all support.
