I have a Dell Inspiron e1405 with 1GB of RAM running on Vista Premium.?
I am considering upgrading RAM. If I install 1GB I would have 1.5GB. Is this a big difference if I install 2GB? In other words, which is ultimately better, 2GB or 1.5GB? I am trying to be budget conscious.

If you already have 1GB, then installing another 1GB would give you 2GB. Assuming that the motherboard on the Dell Inspiron e1405 uses all 2GB and can't take any more, then you wouldn't need any more to max it out.
Make sure you get the right RAM and that it matches your existing chip exactly.
