My dell inspiron is really slow when it has run for 15mins or so?
For some reason my inspiron slows down when it's been running a while, I don't know if it's hardware or not, I swapped out the memory and it didn't resolve the issue. I formatted several times and didn't install anything (just wanted to see if the issues still existed, which they did)
My basic specs are:
Inspiron 9100
Windows XP Pro SP2
512mb Ram
40GB HDD
Pentium 4HT
Hope someone has a fix out there as I don't want to have to buy a new machine as this one is only 2yrs old. I no longer have warranty with dell and I am trying to avoid paying for service repair before getting answers.

Sounds like spyware. Try running Ad-Aware, HijackThis! or Windows Defender. And of course the regular virus stuff.
