If I have 2x512MB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz in my Dell Dimension E521, can I add an extra 1GB of Corsair XMS2 RAM?
1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz is the Stock Dell RAM.
CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory - Retail is the RAM I would like to buy as an upgrade.
More detail... Does it just have to be the same DDR2 RAM or must I match the Stock's PC4200 while the XMS2 is PC2 6400?
Also if I have the stock 160GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM), can I add a Seagate ST3640323AS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM?
Another quick question is, my computer hasn't overheated yet but since I added a 7900GS and I am now adding more RAM and a 640GB HDD, should I take off the side cover of my computer to prevent heat issues?

I know when I upgraded my hp 6207c that I had to get PC26400 which was stock. You will probably have to get PC4200 for your dell. And unless you are already running hot I wouldn't worry about heating issues too much. You should be able to add the hard rive as well. You can either set it as a slave or make it your new master and make the other one a slave. Hope this helps you out a little.
