Can the new core 2 mac book pro computers get viruses? What are the pros and cons?
I'm looking into a 17" Macbook pro core 2 for school.
I need one for a private art school. It's not a matter of mac or pc is better than one or another. I use pc right now, however..mac is strongly advised due to the fact that the teachers teaching the classes are using shortcut keys in photoshop with macs and the pros in the field are using mostly macs. So this question is really only for mac users.
To expand on what someone said about not being able to exchange files with friends...
If you are going to an art school, and using Photoshop, you will have NO problem swapping PS files with friends.
And as long as you both have the same software on the Mac and the PC, youll have no problem as well.
There are some programs for PCs only (Like Microsoft Publisher, but its a waste of $$ and time to use it) that they dont make a Mac version of.
