Yes you can.
1.) Get Norton Ghost or Acronis
2.) Make an image copy of your 160GB hard disk to a back up drive.
3.) Install the new 1TB hard disk
4.) Restore the image from the back up drive to the 1TB drive.
Generally speaking, if the original image is smaller than the target hard drive, all your applications, O.S., and data files will transfer over.
The problem occurs when the image is bigger than the target drive.
