What kind of specs should I get on a laptop if I'll only use it for email and Microsoft Office?
I'm looking to buy a laptop for writing term papers at school, taking notes in class, and checking my email online. What kind of laptop should I get? Budget is a big concern for me. I was looking at a Compaq with AMD Athlon™ X2 QL-60 dual-core processor, 2GB DDR2 memory, and 160GB hard drive. Would that be enough?
That would definately be enough.
PCs have been capable of doing this kind of work for over 15 years - so any new PC will do it perfectly well.
Just get anything with at least 2Gb of RAM and Vista Home Premium.
