Which computer should I get?
I'm trying to decide which computer to get.
The only real difference is the CPU and about $40.
Computer A has a core 2 duo running at 1.8Ghz
Computer B has a P4 HT running at 3Ghz
Computer A is $40 More
So I know core 2 duo is obviously a better chip platform, but considering it's running at almost half the speed, is it really worth the extra $40?
I understand there are many factors that can determine the over all speed of a computer system, and not to base the decision only on the Ghz. But like I said the only difference between the 2 systems was the CPU.
I would undoubtedly go with "Computer B" just knowing the processor speed, be sure to look at the graphics power though, especially if you have a larger monitor. I don't personally recommend any processor below 2.4 GHz speed.
