I'm buy ing a computer iv e got 2 processers i could have one is intel i3 530 dual core 2.93ghz and the other is Q8400 quad core 2.66ghz?

The quad core would obviously be faster, however the i3 (I have an i3 530) is perfectly fine for sims 3 and will save you some cash.
