What Things do I need to know about the type of processor I want before getting one?
I have a Dell OptiPlex GX 260, but I swapped the video card in it with a better one; while I know a bit about video cards and the sort. I know nothing about Processors, but what I do know is that I want a Quad-Core that is 64-bit supported. I would also like for it to be fairly fast, and under $150 (I want to be able to run Aero on my Windows Vista Ultimate, I can run Vista because I have a crapload of ram.) IT would be also nice for it to be able to help me play some of the newer games smoothly. Now for the part that I am lost at? What size of Processor do I need, and what type of socket would this dell's motherboard have? Sorry if I seem like a complete idiot, I don't know very much about computers. Also it would be nice if anyone could tell me some pretty good AGP Video Cards for around $100-200. I know people on here will tell me to get a new motherboard, but I'd rather not.
