I might rip out Vista, and install XP. Has anyone done this?
I just bought an HP DV6226US laptop. It is a thing of beauty and I like it alot (120GB drive, 1GB RAM, 15.4" LCD, DVD burner, plenty of ports, etc.) I am not crazy about Vista, and am thinking about ripping it out. I want to know if anyone else has had any issues ripping out a "Vista Home Premium" machine and installing XP on it (complete hard drive scrub, then install a fresh XP). I would like to hear about this experience from anyone who has done this with their new PC or laptop. Thanks in advance for any info!!
I did it with XP and went to Linux. Never looked back.
