Will the recovery discs that hp asked me to do really save my computer form its instability?
When my mom bought my HP Pavilion dv6000t it says in the manual that I am supposed to make a set of recovery discs to put back my laptop on its factory settings incase I experience a major computer instability. A technician told me that incase of computer failure the best way to fix my laptop is through reformatting it with the help of OS discs(Windows Vista Installer).The problem is that I don't have them.I was not provided with those OS discs.Do you think doing a complete PC recovery using the RECOVERY DISCS that I created will fix a future computer failure?
my computer is an hp also, it came with a recovery partition, but since i formatted the hard drive a couple of times with different versions of windows, i lost the recovery partition, a couple of weeks, my pc started acting weird so when i decided to format with a windows xp cd, not knowing it is a bd cd, i ended up erasing the hard drive, and setup wasnt able to copy files from the cd. but when i used the recovery discs,my pc went just like when i bought it, even a recovery partition was created for me by the discs. so its a yes.
