Compaq computer completely failed in all ways after just 2 years?
Bought a computer Jan 2006 and after 14 months the monitor died. Now 24.5 months from purchase the mother board, processsor and hard drive have all died, as confirmed by a technician. Was groany from day one, Curry's replaced it but 2nd one was also groany so took it that this is the norm for this Compaq PC (64-bit AMD processor).
Do I have any consumer rights under the tradingt standards act or other. Please advise as this was a costly machine for me and its now a right-off and itds not old.

Thanks for your answers everyone. I think the Curry's shop warranty was standard at 12 months for the computer and monitor.
I'm just an unemployed bored housewife thats not computer savvy and didn't know about Compaq or I could never have wasted my precious savings 
2 years is not old. Do you have warrantees? Either through Compaq or the manufacturers of the parts? I had a Pentium 4 that died, it was 2 weeks past a 3 year warranty. I called Intel and they mailed me a new one.
