How do you burn a cd-rom disc with windows media player?
I have a slide show movie that I want to put on a cd. I have it made and everything on windows media, but I can't figure out how to burn it.
Don't use Windows Media Player. That's for burning audio CDs. You're making a data CD, so use Windows XP's built-in data CD writer.
1. Pop in a blank CD-R.
2. Wait for the computer to recognize the disk and select to open a folder to write the files to. Alternatively, you can open the CD-ROM drive through My Computer.
3. Once opened, simply drag the slide show into the folder.
4. In the folder, go to File->Write these files to CD
5. Follow the onscreen instructions and just sit back and wait.
6. When finished burning, test it out and see if it works.
