How do I fix my pc cd player it's not working?
I burned photo cds and after that my cd player stop working/spinning. It still blinks greens like it's reading but it doesn't work it just won't pick up. Is this a software problem or hardware? Could it just be broken and will i need a new cd/dvd player installed?
Any ideas/advice on whet to do will be helpful!
It may be stuck in a digital purgatory, this happens sometimes when a lot of data gets written. So reboot and see if that does not fix the problem.
If not, then get a cd lense cleaning kit, about $10 and run a cleaning on the ROM.
If this does not fix the problem, then uninstall your burning software and reinstall it.
If none of this fixes the problem, you must have a burned out ROM drive and will need to replace it.
