Can an old desktop computer with no cd drive be converted to accept wireless internet?
Hi,
Wandered if anybody can help, I have an old desktop computer, but its CD drive is not working (I think it needs a new one!) For now i just wan to use it for the internet. Its currently attached to a wireless modern with a dsl cable. Can it be converted to be wireless? It has a usb point but it cant accept CD's.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Yes, use a USB wireless adapter. But a couple of issues Could be: 1. Your wireless adapter might not run on an older USB 1.0 port, make sure it;s compatible or Spend $10 on a PCI USB 2.0 card at the same time. 2. Make sure your wireless adapter has a driver available for your OS. You don;t say what your OS is, so make sure you can get a driver for it.
