Why can I only boot from cd on new pc?
Says there is an error and needs to repair but I have to use the recovery cd every time I reboot, What's UP? Do I have to reinstall...and will I loose my current data on my hard drive? Windows Vista!
1) transfer the harddrive to another computer and move your data there
2)replace the harddrive
3) install your operating system of choice (linux, windows xp, bsd, etc)
4) transfer harddrive back to the second machine and move data back onto the harddrive
5) replace the drive in the first machine and be on your way!
