is something wrong with my knee? please answer!?
okay well i have problems with my right knee ever since i was 13 and i am now 16. when i was 14 i had knee surgery to fix my patella tendon and clean out loose cartilage and i had that done on October 12, 2009 and everything was fine and now it's acting up again! it locks, and when i have it bent for a while and i try to straighten it, it gets stuck and i have to pop my knee! it's very painful! and it clicks a lot! and when i move a certain way i feel like its going to dislocate. i should mention i had ankle ligament reconstructive surgery on January 10, 2011 and it was on my right ankle so i wasn't using my leg for a month due to that and i just got cleared to walk, with a boot, about a week ago! im also seeing the same orthopedic surgeon for my ankle that did the surgery on my knee! i see him again march 3rd.
Could this knee pain be serious?
or could it be from not being used for a long time?
Any knee pain or discomfort could be serious. Call your doctor and see of he/she can get you in earlier. In the mean time, try icing and heating it, rest it, and brace it to stabilize it.
