all in a DELL optiplex GX260 case with standard motherboard and PSU
it was going to be a rescue budget gaming pc but failed epically, (couldn't get the right parts) so became media center PC.

I'm afraid you're not going to get a whole heap more, sir. I'm not surprised it "failed epically" when you wanted to use it for budget gaming.
You might be better off dismantling the computer and selling the parts individually.
