HP Pavilion Desktop Athlon XP Help?
Just need some opinions about whether it would be cheaper to buy a new computer or upgrade this one , I know I need more RAM and a new card for some games such as the Sims and Hoyle Casino Games but what else would I need to bring this computer up to par with a average today model ?? had this computer for a good 6 year but if it is possible to update it rather then buy another I would do that unless it would be to expensive .... any helpful positive responses will be appreciated

I actually had EXACTLY the same setup. I bought a new PC because most newer games recommend multicore processors - and to install one in that pavilion requires a new motherboard, new RAM, you'd need to upgrade the graphics anyway; and then you may as well install SATA components as you would have the support for them.
You'd basically be putting a whole new PC inside the old case.
My advice would be buy a new one.
