What is the most RAM my computer can Handle/Utilize?
Hi, im upgrading my computer. I had a hard drive failure and lost all my data, about 8 GB in music alone. I want to buy a new Hard drive possibly 1 Terabyte Hard drive (will be for a TV Tuner for recording and movies/music). I think i can max out my PC at 4GB of Ram but im not sure. Also will 4GB or ram be able to handle a 1 TB Hard drive? Here are the stats:

For a 32-bit OS, you can only have up to a maximum of 4GB of RAM, this is because 32-bit OS uses a 32-bit pointer which translates to having only up to 4 billion (maximum number a 32-bit number can have) fingers to point. So if you will decide to have more than that, your OS will run out of ways to address memory beyond 4GB. You can upgrade to a 64-bit. But that will also depend on your motherboard.
