What is the performance difference between the Intel Core 2 Duo and AMD Turion 64 X2 processors?
I am planning on using the computer for running multiple Excel spreadsheets that extracts data from the web, as well as running a web browser and other Office products. I won't be playing graphic-rich games. I would like to know how big a difference is there between the two chipsets. Thanks.
Intel Core2Duos are currently faster and run cooler. You can google for evidence or try tomshardware.com to see the benchmarks. Depending what you are doing, the Core2Duos can run noticeably faster.
