What is the difference between AMD Athlon 64 3500 Processors and Intel processors on desktop computers?
I'm buying a new computer and plan on using it for "at home" use (emails, downloading photos, word processing). Any other advice would be appreciated.
AMD is just another company who makes processors. It's like Ford vs Chevy. Both make cars.
AMD tend to be cheaper, since they are less well known, but I hear they do an equally if not better job than Intel.
