How would vista run on my laptop?
i have a dell insprion 1300 in a 40gb hard drive. i have upgraded the ram and here are the rest of specs:
40gb hard drive
2gb ram
1.4ghz processor speed
Intel Celeron M processor
windows xp home edition
my laptop is VERY fast, despite it's rubbish processor and hard drive.
how would vista run on it (slow, fast, etc.)
Do not put Vista on that thing. Vista will run using a minimal of 1.2 (or there abouts) gigs of RAM...and then there is the 10+ gb of HD space it will occupy after install.
It was designed for the newer machines, of which i have, but i would gladly trade it in for XP if my hardwares would run (drivers require Vista).
XP in my experience is more stable and much better supported than Vista, and there are alot more ppl who know how to fix things for XP than Vista.
