okay dude honestly to give a answer to your question is little difficult so here is my opinion :
there are some things you must know before you can compare the hardware specs of mac and a windows pc :
1.Mac is a operating system which runs on a bsd of linux ... so basically mac is graphically much more advanced than windows and also you may notice that when you launch any program in windows there is a little delay or lagg but this does not happen in mac ..... that is why the hardware requirements of a mac are much more generally than a normal windows pc or you can say that a mac will give a user less amount of computing power based on a software and a windows pc will give you more amount of computing power....
so actually going by the apple.com details of the tech specs of the iMac 20 " is COMPARABLE TO the HP desktop !
