Im downgrading from Vista to Xp. Can some one help.?
Okay I get to the End user license agreement, where it says press f8 if you agree or esc. to not install windows. I press f8 and and nothing happens. If i press esc it reboots my computer as it says it would. I purchased a dell inspirion 1545 on jun 15 2009, and i made sure the f8 key works and i know for a fact it does. In the installation for xp how do i make it work?
first thing you have to do is this, set your BIOS to boot from CD then run a drive scrubber setting your hard drive to just came from the manufacture clean. (the bios is a chip on the motherboard so don't worry) after that run your full version XP CD like you would do. You know what to do from there. Any other way will not work because you can't down grade your computer.
