How do you trick windows xp into thinking it's windows 2000?
I want to install and play an old black and white game I found that belonged to my older brother. I tried to install it a few times to no avail and realized it could only be installed in windows 2000 or earlier. I want some way to trick the game into thinking that the windows I'm running is 2000 instead of xp which is what I really have. Hope somebody can help!
Hmm, try running it in compatibility mode:
Rightclick > Properties > Compatibility (tab) > Run in compatibility mode
then choose windows 2000 in that list.
