If an item to be downloaded says 'System requirement 2000,XP, Vista' can it be downloaded to a computer which
is running Windows Millennium?
As one answerer said, Windows 2000 is millenium..
this is not correct, they are completely seperate Operating Systems, using a different kernel, and a different file system.
If a program requires 2000 or newer, chances are it won't run on ME.
If it is a game, or a general program, try it...ME has system restore which will revert your computer back to the way it was before installation, in case it fails.
A lot of manufacturers do not add in Win9x Operating systems, simply because they are no longer supported at microsoft, and many people have since moved to XP anyway.
If it is a driver, then catagorically do not install a 2000/XP/Vista driver on windows ME, unless it specifically states winMe or Win 9x In the specs.
If you mean to simply downlaod a file fom the internet, rather than install it onto your computer, then yes, you can download any file you like from the internet, on any Operating System, for later transfer to USB Stick, CD, DVD etc...
